The All-seeing Spirit

This wall hanging was produced for Rosa's solo exhibition Shadow Play/Future Phantoms at Konsthall C in Stockholm, Sweden. A part of the comissioned work for Konsthall C consisted of three textile wall hangings with new, alternative mythological creatures painted in black tempera. The jewel-toned textile fabrics recall stained glass in Gothic cathedrals.

The All-seeing Spirit is frightening at first sight, but has a compassionate heart and good will. It has owl-like features like the long legs and the ability to turn it’s head in every direction.
